I still think that mediterranean climate regions (Mediterranean, California, South Australia..) could benefit more from the tropical rainforest system, rather than the temperate one. The sun exposure in the winter would still be possible due to leaf fall.

Favourite way of investng 🌳. The goal is to have fresh fruit all year round, which is easier to achieve in the Tropics, but is possible in the Mediterranean too, on a lesser scale, as citruses, avocado, persimmon, strawberry tree, Brazilian guava, all give fruits in the winter.

#farmersmarket First cherimoyas of the season 💚. They can grow quite well in the Mediterranean, as long as they are protected from the cold winds with terracing, windbreaks, or inside a greenhouse (-3°C hardiness).
