India is run and ruled by 4 groups:
Babus with lifelong job security without any accountability
Criminal politicians who know how to use caste and religion to win popular support
Corrupt corporates who know nothing of innovation and bribe the above two to loot Indians
Foreign funded agents who are tasked to lobby for external interests
🫀 Key Cardiac Risk Markers You Shouldn’t Ignore
Heart attacks in 20s & 30s are becoming frighteningly common.
Fit on the outside ≠ Healthy on the inside.
Here’s how to investigate early & prevent silent cardiac risk 🧵 👇
1% control the world.
4% are their loudspeakers.
90% are asleep.
5% are awake- trying to shake the rest.
But the 1% use the 4% to silence the 5%,
so the 90% never wake up.
Hotel rates are highly seasonal & crazy expensive. It's taken me years to find value for money options in Mumbai hotels. Story from Business Standard. My list so far?
1) Sea Green
2) Strand
3) Westend
4) Bentley
5) YWCA
All in Colaba. Usually in the 4-6k range.
Another great deal in South Bombay! The YWCA International Centre near Oval Maidan. Spacious double room with a balcony. 4.4k with breakfast & dinner incl.
Open to all. YWCA = Young Women's Christian Association. I'm not a woman or Christian (young, maybe) but I could stay. 😅
My South Bombay hotel series continues today with Westend Hotel, near Marine Lines Station & Bombay Hospital. I love their old furniture & spacious interiors. It has a tiny balcony too. This one cost me 5.7k with breakfast.
My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Ahmedabad. The steady stream of deaths on our buses, trains, stadiums, and planes in India reflects a failure of political accountability. The partisan claim that a moment such as this is “not the time for politics” is a convenient excuse to dodge responsibility till the event fades from public memory. The result is a tragic cycle of negligence.
fall in love with your life.
wake up early, buy your favorite coffee, go for walks, eat good food, wear what you love and listen to your favorite music. create these little moments of joy that make you fall in love with your life.
What happened in 1990? Ram Mandir movement. There is your answer.
Until then we were all Indians. After that we are Hindus and Muslims.
China went opposite. Embraced atheism. State policy.
I have spent a a lot more time in India last 2 years. I no longer recognize the country I was born in, grew up in.
A country that over 10 years gained a 4T dollar economy but lost everything else.
Our joy, our smiles, our soul, our ethos, our love, and most importantly, our (cobbled) togetherness.
All we have now is a delusional arrogance/pride and hate and anger. Lot of anger. The foundations of a society can't be on arrogance, hate and othering.
10 years ago we were (poorer) Indians, but we were Indians. One nation, one people.
Today we are Hindus (who are in danger), Muslims (who are traitors), Sikhs (who are Khalistanis), Kashmiris, Hindi speakers, non Hindi speakers, Maharashtrians, Biharis, North Indians, South Indians. We are many things now, many identities, but we are losing the only identity that matters.
What our external enemies (Pakistan, China, extremist groups, add whatever name you want) couldn't achieve in 75 years,
Modi Government managed in just 10 years.
We learned that the most effective weapon required to destroy a country/society is not nukes, not armies, not terrorist groups.
All it takes is a sold out media, a corrosive government, and 4 social media apps.
Indian people, particularly men, do not know how to react with someone whose viewpoint is different from theirs. They perceive disagreement as a personal insult and then do everything to shut it up. By abuse, wielding power dynamics and similar tactics.
"What did the Manmohan Singh Govt do after the 26/11 Mumbai Attacks?"
This is a question which several Bhakts are asking on Twitter as they rejoice in their jingoism marred with fake news peddled in the Godi Media.
Well here is what the Manmohan Singh Govt actually did.....
- Right during the attack the NSG was deployed
- Not a single of those terrorists were spared
- All of them were dug out of their holes, trapped and killed
- Ajmal Kasab was arrested and sent to trial
- A clear link of his terrorist activities was established which was used to isolate Pakistan internationally and push them in a corner.
- He was then hanged
- No, he was not given Biryani feasts, that was a lie which has by now been busted.
- Each and every of those terrorists were killed
- The Govt took responsibility of the lapse of security
- The CM of Maharashtra resigned
- The HM of Maharashtra resigned
- The Union Minister of Home Affairs resigned
- The Govt held itself accountable to the people of India
What Manmohan Singh Govt did not do:
- It did not go into a muscle flexing hypernationalist mode
- It did not invite Pakistan to come on our soil and do a joint investigation of the terrorist attack
- It did not let any of the terrorists escape and then used the Media to focus on internal communal hatemongering
- It did not target the entire community of Indian Muslims for something that they had no hand in
- It did not make war claims against Pakistan and put the entire Nation in a crazed bloodthirsty mode.
- It did not go into a jingoistic frenzy leading the nation into what can end up in a nuclear catastrophe.
Do you know why they didn't go all "War Crazy" because they have actually fought wars.....they know the price the nation has to pay to go into war and the devastation that happens and the the way a war sets back a nation by decades.
Many of you have not even witnessed a war, much less been affected by it. Neither have I.
But let me tell you this......an actual war is nothing like PUBG.
You don't get respawned in a different location to fight again and again till you are bored and then switch off your console.
People actually die
Soldiers die
Innocents who have not signed up for a war die.
Homes are destroyed.
Livelihoods are destroyed.
It is easy for a pot bellied unkil to sit in his living room and shout "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" while sipping on his chilled Gau Mutra and demanding "War War War".
But before you do that, take a pause, talk to the Army Wives who have lost their husbands, talk to the Mothers who have lost their sons.
They will all tell you that they were proud of their family members losing their lives to defend the country.....but ask them if they want a war or if war is a solution and most of them will give you a straight "NO".
It is easy for people like you, who have never been near a contested border to "enjoy" a war on the media.
But if ever a bomb shell drops near your house, you will crap in your pants.
Disclaimer: Meanwhile all the attacks by us on Islamabad, Karachi made by the Godi Media last night stand cancelled. If you are done with phase 1 of your jingoism you can now go back to your offices and discuss this war with enthusiasm during your lunch hours or at home, safely, if the evenings with your wives.

Don’t feel ashamed if you’re being trolled for speaking about peace. Wanting peace doesn’t make you weak,it makes you human.
We understand the pain of innocent people because we were raised with empathy. Our parents and grandparents served in the Army, so we also feel the pain of every Army officer’s family.
Some people whose families never served the country, but spent their mornings spreading hate in Shakhas, are now shouting for war.
We are proud Indians and we believe in peace. Being patriotic doesn’t mean blindly following a loud, aggressive agenda. Real patriotism is standing for truth, peace, and the people of this country.
As an Indian, I’m fuming. Last night, our news channels fed us lies, fake strikes on Karachi, imaginary invasions, recycled videos. No facts, just drama. While citizens slept feeling proud, the world watched us become a joke. This is not patriotism, its betrayal. Shameful. 😓
Govt is nowhere from your birth to death except when you are earning.
They stick to you like leeches from your first day of the job & kick you when you leave your jobs or don't have income.
For retirement, social security, unemployment crisis, hefty loans you are on your own.
Some wake up at 30. Some at 18.Most never do. Face reality No one is going to save you.
Wake up early. Do whatever it takes to fix your wallet, body & Mind
You're on your own.
Be a paradox. Lift weights. Read books. Be ruthless in business. Be relaxed in life. Attract a strong partner. But stand complete on your own. Build empires while staying grounded in your roots.Surround yourself with winners. But never follow the crowd.
