Sant Vishnu Das is a Sadhu who resides in the Muzaffarnagar area. He is involved in various philanthropic activities such as feeding and looking after stray cows, other religious activities.
He had raised a Muslim boy, Mohammad Hasim as his adopted son, for about eight years giving him shelter, care, and a family atmosphere. (Notice that he didnt convert the boy, nor changed his name.)
Mohammad Hasim knew that Sadhu Vishnu Das's lifelong cherished dream was building a Gaushala for his beloved cows. So, Hasim proposed that he would strike a deal with some property owners and help his supposed mentor and father, acquire land for the Gaushala.

Mohammad Hasim collected ₹28.5 lakh from the Sadhu Vishnu Das and one other person, Akashdeep.
And promptly after that became Mr India !!!

No trace, no signs of our dear Mohammad Hasim found and the cash of 28.5 lakhs vanished too !!

Sadhu Vishnu Das rushed to the Muzaffarnagar Police weeping and lamenting. The Muzaffarnagar police arrested Hasim and his accomplices within 48 hours, and recovered roughly ₹22 lakh of the Sadhus money.

Bhaichara and secularism flew out of the window after that.
