@BnsJaneCampbell I’m not a prof, have no degree, but one thing I know. Until non-disabled people experience negative attitudes, even by people who say they love you, and those who rate you costly, and a useless burden, please don’t tell me I have choices. The uni of life has taught me much!
100,000s of people with arthritis are waiting for joint replacement surgery, often in unbearable pain. I’ve just signed @VersusArthritis petition to demand UK governments urgently set out plans to bring waiting times down-will you join me? #MyPainDemands https://t.co/SU9qbi5nmK
@BeresfordPeter@Solnetwork1 Peter, I agree with you and I have always given the Social Model of Disability priority. It may not appear to embrace every single aspect but it does encompass main areas that are so significant for independent living.
@johnpringdns @BnsJaneCampbell @JustinTomlinson@SalBrinton @AmbleSkuse @DSexism @sohear@natalyadell@PFselfadvocacy@BenjaminEWilson Words almost fail me that House of Lords Members should even think these thoughts about disabled people, never mind articulate them. Retire or ban them from attending the House. Some/many will have disabled family members, so does their discrimination apply to them, too?!
@bethyb1886 Beth, you must be so proud. I’m so happy for you all. Please keep me do keep me in the loop so I can watch them both grow. Such a lovely photo. I’m nursing a broken ankle, fractured a week ago. Up today for first time but cannot stand. Patience needed! Love to you all. Ann
@DrAmirKhanGP I love your messages of such spiritual quality that starts my day smiling. It feels as if the natural world is giving me a reassuring hug.
@AlisonMoyet They never give up until drastic action is taken. One hanging small bird feeder enticed at least seventeen every day. An empty feeder meant tapping at the window when the feeder became depleted. I stopped feeding them and still they came until, after two weeks, they gave up.
