@amthibeault I’ve always thought that. Add foreclosure stuff to that list. And replacing everything that’s lost when you are evicted while incarcerated prior to that not guilty.

Divorce/breakup? “Well, you’re better off without him.” It’s so important to hold that space for ourselves and others to feel those feelings and sit with those emotions. No shame in being sad, angry, confused, anxious, depressed, etc.

One thing that wasn’t highlighted that I feel is very common within the church community is the (often well intended) toxic response to grief. Your child dies, and some rando says you should be grateful to have had this child and cherish the time you DID share.
