Yesterday we marked #InternationalDayOfPlay. In our programmes, play isn't just play for a child who's known harm, it's a language: a way to rebuild trust and feel safe again. This is where healing begins. Protect play, protect childhood.
Today we continue the fight to end child labour. 138M children's hands hold work instead of school and 1 in 3 children are denied an education. Child labour isn't a child's failing; it's a system's. On #WorldDayAgainstChildLabour, we go after the roots of exploitation. (@ilo)
Most young girls have at least one memory connected to menstruation in school, usually typified by feeling of embarrassment or shame and missing school. Conversations about menstruation should be done openly in schools to #breakthestigma and #KeepgirlsinSchool.
