@kelsey_engl350 I agreed, I had a hard time with GitHub at first (and still struggle sometimes) but it was fun to learn something new. Not only did I learn about what is classified as DH but I also learned how to use a new program.
This week @whit_engl peer reviewed my grant project. They gave me some good advice on how to fix up my resume which I really appreciated. My resume looks more clear and cohesive now.
We’ve been working on this grant project for so long and it feels good to be coming to an end. While this project has been difficult and time consuming it’s also been rewarding.
@MelissaMoyaVar1 I agree! At the beginning of this I had no idea of how I would want my project to look. Now I can really envisioned how I would want my project to look.
Learning about CV’s and resumes in class today was super helpful today. I feel I have a much better understanding of what to put in a resume and how to direct it towards the job you are looking to gain.
In my meeting today I was given a lot of helpful feedback. I really enjoy that @dr_stover has taken the time to not only review all of our grants but also add in how and where she would change up some stuff. It is incredibly helpful to have the personal input from her.
@MelissaMoyaVar1 I too learned a lot more about my topic by just Simply finding the proper sources. I have enjoyed writing my grant as stressful as it may have been.
My grant project was a project I had a very tough time starting but once I finally found a place to start things got much simpler. Not to say there weren’t complications in the process of writing, because trust me there was. But this project has shown me how to re-evaluate.
The Gorsevski reading had a lot of inside scoop on what readers are looking for in a grant. I can now use this article as a sort of guide for my own grant project.
I’ve been working on my first draft for our grant and it’s been a little challenging. I’ve never written a grant before and there’s honestly a lot that goes into the process. I am excited to get feedback from my peers and professors before moving on to my final draft.
I had my meeting with @dr_stover earlier today and she helped me figure out where I should go from here to complete my grant project. The meet in was super helpful and I’m glad I got the chance to chat with her.
@Malcolm_engl350 I agree, creating a website always seemed so overwhelming because I had no clue where to start. Reading that article made me understand that I don’t have to know everything all at once.
Reading the wireframe article made me realize you don’t have to immediately jump straight into building the website. I didn’t realize how the first drafts of the websites could look. It’s crazy to see the drawn idea vs the final product.
Completing the Lean Canvas assignment has allowed me to think deeply about what outcome I want from my project. It has me asking questions I’ve never considered before that leads to me advancing my project.
I am mostly finished with my review of “timeline of developmental theory” and while it was a small project reviewing it still inspired me and gave me new ideas for how I want my project to look as it’s the same theme. It also allowed me to see errors that I don’t want to repeat.
