Do you have a favorite collection of loosely (or closely) interconnected short stories? I realize this is kind of a specific request, but I feel like I know the right crowd.
It's a bummer how much of what's called Frank O'Hara-esque is an aesthetic that's isolated and melancholy as opposed to poems that are deeply invested in people and art filled with smart observations, humor, and, for lack of a better word, LOVE love
i only have 2 things to say about anne carson
1. the title of her doctoral thesis was “odi et amo ergo sum” (i hate and i love, therefore i am)
2. i love her and i would die for her
@heymrsbond I worry that even if someone is collecting data on this, that the raw data is too much to process into meaningful takeaways/insufficient resources are being applied to processing it in meaningful ways.
Omg I did the thing people suggest (write down all the things you’d like to say someone but can’t, either literally or as in it would be cruel/unprofessional to do so unmodified), and it did make me feel better, damn it.
