@indie_pixel Another way of looking at NPD is an emotional/psychological developmental delay. Observe the behaviour and try to assess the 'age' of the behaviour. I did this exercise with a board chair and it turned out her NPD CEO was a 15-16yo boy.

@Amazingxtra @KiffinEileen Kids learn more when they have: warm & secure housing, sufficient food, warm clothing, transport to school, as much teacher aide support as they need, well-ventilated & warm classrooms, more of their teacher's attention i.e. time etc. So do go on about teachers being the cause..

@irisshackleton You may want to consider turning your second bedroom into a foster room and remove obvious temptations temporarily. You can also get adhesive plastic to protect your carpet from the paint section of hardware stores.

@irisshackleton Does the SPCA supply all the equipment you'll need? If not, you may be able to get suitable stuff from landfill shops. I saw a crate, bowls and a drinking fountain at my local today.
