@Heather01767289 @karenzgoda Even if you aren't a veterinary social worker, awareness of animals is important in all aspects of social work practice. :) #macrosw
Q2: It is important for agencies to support staff and clients that have service animals. Agencies must make a clear statement that supports an individual's right to have their service animal present with them. #macroSW
A2 - I am a DV counselor and pets come up often in my work when survivors are escaping from their situations. Their pets are often such an integral part of their lives they refuse to leave them behind. At times, the animals are used as a means to hurt the survivors #macrosw
A2: In my current job, this topic does not really apply, but within my placement doing individual counseling it has come up quite a bit. I have had clients lose their pets and this being a major source of grief for them that always comes up in therapy. #MacroSW

A1: I've actually never had a pet, but have seen the topic of pets come up a great deal with my clients at my placement. I want to learn more about this bond that plays such a huge role in so many people's lives. #MacroSW
A5: Make the conferences less talking at us and more talking to us and allowing people to share their experiences that have worked and not worked. I think this would mean the conferences would have to have less people involved in one session. #macrosw
A5: I agree and I think that this experience will also give way to newer technology, more streamlined platforms that include very creative and useful tools. #macrosw
A5. I think that this shutdown has shown us that many things can be virtual rather than in person. I believe that we can utilize technology more in future conferences. I think conferences should also become more interactive using technology. #macrosw
A4: Possibly by making an effort to ensure that the networking portion is still possible. Breakup groups in whatever video conferencing application being used would be a great tool to facilitate this. #MacroSW
I have attended some conferences through my employment and have found the greatest positives to be the people I have met through them and the subjects I may not have explored otherwise. #MacroSW
@OfficialMacroSW A2; I’ve been engaging in more webinars and virtual trainings. Whatever information I gather, I pass it on to my team and use it as topics for discussion and/or morale boosters. #MacroSW
A2: I've had the advantage of being an online student to begin with, but I have definitely noticed the shift to increased use of technology, accessibility, and more flexibility in learning and sharing of knowledge #MacroSW
