@pataphonic Trying to DM you here but not sure it's possible anymore. It's concerning a potential documentary film. Can you let me know a way to contact you? Thank you
A new series called Hooked begins on Rte One tonight @RTEOne. It's directed by Film Studies lecturer Anna Rodgers @AnnaRodgersDocs and presented by TCD graduate Dr. Brian Pennie. It also features TCD Professor Jo-Hanna Ivers and Professor Robert Whelan. Tune in at 9.30pm!
@Seosaimh1JOE So very sad. I don’t believe in heaven myself but i wish there was a place for them to be together again. It’s a nice idea. For your childhood to be that dangerous in your own home is horrific. And it seems it’s very hard to protect women and girls from this. Often no one knows.
@MrEdByrne Brilliant show Ed. I was the one laughing/ crying in the front row. Thanks for absolutely killing me with that Sebadoh story…. And all the reminders of who Paul was x
@constanceshortc I thought that myself. It seems very possible. God love their poor families. I read the woman’s family are staying by the coast. To keep vigil like that by the sea not knowing must be so difficult.
Feel so sad for the poor families of the Galway Silverstrand tragedy. I hope they find that young woman’s body soon so her family can have some peace. Dreadful thing to happen. The sea can be so powerful a force.
This viral tweet and accompanying video is a textbook example of how racists distort and manipulate media to incite pile-ons.
Their target seems to be a lovely young woman but she isn't white and that's all the excuse these racists need.
Here's the truth behind the video: /1
Also, we have a lot of baby stuff here so if anyone knows of any pregnant women who’d like baby or maternity clothes, please let me know! Especially any vulnerable or struggling women. I could make up a bag of stuff and come and meet them (providing it’s Dublin) x
I just finished listening to this wonderful podcast series called The Turning: the Sisters who left. It’s such a beautifully told story. I loved inhabiting the world of these women the last week. Thank you to @ejlantz for this experience. I highly recommend this podcast.
It's called The Turning: The Sisters Who Left. It's a podcast about women who gave up everything to follow Mother Teresa by joining her religious order -- a group I didn't really understand when I started. https://t.co/aUmBnwjepd
And also the deep sadness I feel for all the people who are going to be waking up afraid in America today, from the LGBTQ+ community to women who can’t trust that they’ll be able to access healthcare and Palestinians who must know this won’t improve things. It’s too much.
@AdeshaF@narindertweets Yes that was my thought. Amazed at her immense bravery but also a deep motherly desire to run and cover her to get her out of harms way. I hope she survives this.
