@ChrisDavidGill Disagree. Although caring about one’s topic is critical, writing for an audience fuels the hard work of revising and editing so that readers want to come along for the ride.
Book Talk 1/1/23: A family genealogist learns her grandparents never existed; plus a musician recounts his recovery from alcoholism during the isolation of a pandemic.

@SimpleLivinGene So true. I did an extended series of family history interviews with my late dad, for which I am forever grateful. These interviews also has a way of turning to illuminating discussions of more recent family topics.
