“Thank you for bringing so much joy and spirit and energy to a life you had no voice in choosing.”
Former first lady Michelle Obama reminisced about hosting White House sleepovers and playing hide-and-seek with her daughters, Malia and Sasha, during the dedication ceremony of the Obama Presidential Center, praising them for growing up to be “brilliant and beautiful young women.” https://t.co/JtW8Y8PhG2
30+ labor unions came together today. Actors, teachers, postal workers, pilots, carpenters, sailors, musicians, and so many more.
They told me what we already know: Trump's attacks on labor have been stunning.
Gutting collective bargaining agreements. Illegally firing NLRB members. Slashing OSHA inspectors. Packing the courts with anti-labor judges.
Every single one of these attacks was deliberate. And every single one has a target: workers.
We see it. We're fighting back. And with this coalition behind us, we are not done.
It was great reconnecting with our alumni tonight!
Michelle and I will always be grateful for the chance to work side-by-side with so many brilliant, selfless people who believed in something bigger than themselves.

Barack Obama "is really messed up. I'm giving him some time because this beautiful skirt that my stylist Meredith Koop picked out that is my favorite portrait of my mom. He didn't know it existed until just a few minutes ago. I've had a few weeks to settle down"
- Michelle Obama
After hearing what was said about Michelle Obama at the White House last night, I can’t stay silent.
She’s a Princeton- and Harvard-educated attorney, a former First Lady, and a global example of intelligence, grace, and elegance.
I’m speaking up because she taught us: *“When they go low, we go high.”* That means calling out disrespect while still choosing dignity.
I stand with Michelle Obama. And she represents the best of American values.
19-year-old Devan Bonagura secretly filmed 81-year-old Walmart cashier
Nola Carpenter resting alone in the break room of a Hackettstown, New Jersey store. Exhausted after more than 20 years on the job to pay off her mortgage—while her injured husband couldn’t work—she looked worn out.
Bonagura posted the short TikTok video with the caption “Life shouldn’t be this hard.” It exploded, gaining over 30 million views. He quickly started a GoFundMe that raised $186,000 in days—enough to pay off her mortgage and let her retire.
Walmart and his employer (OSL) were upset about the unauthorized recording. They demanded he delete the video and fundraiser, then suspended him. Bonagura refused, saying he was leaving anyway.
Nola was deeply grateful. She worked through the holidays, then retired. The story showed both the kindness of strangers and corporate pushback.
These two ladies know how to ride a horse!!! 🥹🙂↕️. Honest fun and care and motor skills exercise for the elders. Good engagement, non evasive social fellowship. #Community
