This morning we bring you something special filmed by our talented and like-minded friends @AnniRamms & David Ramms who visited us in Bosnia last autumn. Thank you for capturing them so beautifully & giving us a film that shows the very essence of what the Saving Strays team are
@PeterEgan6 I met Essie just after she was rescued from streets of Sarajevo, what a gorgeous beautiful soul. So kind and gentle, I wish we were in a position to offer her a home. She deserves the best one! 🤍
One of my favourite bands, Architects (@Architectsuk), is getting cancelled
The “fans” want them to kick out their guitarist, Adam (@adamarchitects)
And if the band doesn’t do what they say, they want them cancelled
Check any of Architects’ posts to see the meltdown
So, what did the guitarist, Adam, do?
He retweeted a video of MMA fighter Sean Strickland ranting and verbally attacking a reporter at a press conference, because the reporter asked him about LGBT stuff
I don’t agree with what he said in that rant, but what do you expect?
People seem surprised that a guy who beats people up in a cage for money has controversial opinions, really?
Adam had also liked a few Tweets from politically right-leaning accounts, and liked some other posts that the mob doesn’t agree with
Adam deleted the retweet and said it was an accident, which seems obvious, retweeting something that aggressive and controversial is a dumb move
Maybe he was drunk or something, who knows, but he deleted it and apologised
Last night the singer of the band, Sam (@samarchitects), said this on stage:
“Nobody on this stage judges anybody for their gender, their race, or whoever they are in love with. We never have, we never will. That is not what this band stands for, and it’s not what this band will ever stand for. We love every single one of you.”
But it seems even that isn’t enough for people, they’re still calling for more
Still calling for Adam to be kicked out of the band
As usual, these types of people smell weakness, smell blood, and now they can’t help themselves from going in for the kill
I have a perspective on all of this that is probably going to anger people, but here goes
Every band member of Architects is vegan, they made this decision for animal rights and environmental reasons
They took action to try and change the world for animals and everyone else on the planet
How many of the people having a meltdown over a retweet and a few likes have ever done anything to help anyone other than themselves, I wonder?
How many of this mob are vegan? I’ve seen one or two, but I’m betting most of them fund animal cruelty 3 times a day or more
Am I saying Architects are above reproach because they’re vegan? No
I’m saying they apologised and stated their position, which is enough
I’m saying maybe you should make your own bed before you tell others to make theirs
Adam retweeting and liking a few posts causes harm to no one
Adam doesn’t want anyone to be mutilated, abused or killed, and he hasn’t funded or encouraged anyone to do that
But every meat eater attacking him and the band does all three of those things multiple times a day
They fund the mutilation, abuse and killing of animals, while attacking a guy because he liked a few posts they don’t agree with
Make your own bed before you tell others how to make theirs
Adam apologised, Sam made a powerful statement on stage, if you’re still out for blood, that says more about you than it does about the band
It’s time to move on
And go vegan, obviously
If the first 24 hours is anything to go by #Armageddon is going to be my biggest special ever. All thanks to you ❤️
This means Netflix have to pay me even more for my next one and I can give even more money to animals. It's a good system 😂
Living mindfully in each moment is something many of us practice and want to get better at. Focusing on the NOW instead of planning the future or going over past events.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Animals are always living in the moment.
For farmed animals that moment is suffering, limited space and disease. Darkness. The future that awaits them is in a slaughterhouse. At least that will be the end.
Things I found out about myself since going vegan and making pro vegan posts:
- I’m too skinny
- I’m fat
- I’m taking testosterone
- I’m taking estrogen
- I’m losing my hair
- I have too much ginger hair
- My voice is too high pitched
- I’m too intimidating/angry
- I’m a pussy
- I’m going to die any second now
- I’m like Hitler
- I think I’m the white Gandhi
- I’m a nazi
- I should be rounded up with all the other vegans and sent to a gas chamber
- I don’t get laid
- I get laid but it’s bad because the girl is vegan
- I’m a satanist
- I’m a demon
- I’m an idiot
And much more
Yes, either in person or online, people have said those things to me in response to my posts encouraging them to stop funding the incredibly violent animal agriculture industry
Most people lash out with excuses and insults at first, but every vegan knows that eventually, when the dust settles, you start to realise your initial reaction was wrong, and that’s when the change begins
You have the choice to not shoot the messenger, and jump right to the learning and changing phase
If that’s you, leave a comment below and start up a discussion, the vegans are here to help you change so we can all help animals together👇🏼
There are republican vegans, liberal vegans, ex-hunter vegans, Christian vegans, Muslim vegans, Hindo vegans, atheist vegans, poor vegans, rich vegans, Hispanic vegans, black vegans, etc.
⏩ When you go vegan you can maintain your identity. You just won't pay for animal abuse.
