Semi and I never had a photo together with Ruin while he was still alive. So Semi suggested that we should create this drawing together instead. And because she didn’t want me to drown in grief, she chose to draw a scene that captures a happy moment. And happy birthday to me. Being able to draw this picture truly feels like a wonderful gift.

Goodbye, Ruin, our beloved son. The two of us will love you until our very last breath.

Semi and I are in China right now. We really love Chinese food, even though I can’t pronounce the menu names at all. Semi has tried writing pinyin and teaching me the tones, but I keep accidentally using Thai tones every time.

If anyone has any must-try dishes, please recommend some to us!
