there are excellent businesses with low margins

think of a large scale industrial business that has heavy operating costs, COGS, etc

sure its margins are not like some fugazi SaaS product but in absolute terms its probably doing better

the sheer scale of it means that its generating millions of dollars in profit in an industry with a high barrier to entry

someone can vibe code an alternative to your SaaS in between 4 hour gooning sessions, but they can't vibe code a factory, supply chains, and decades of customer relationships
