a lot of planthopper nymphs produce a waxy or stringy like substance from a special gland in their abdomen like this guy here
its not heavily researched why they have it but its thought to be for protection and also seems to help with stability when they jump

i don’t see em around much where i live rn so i don’t get to express my love for them often but i really really love pigeons.
they’re so wonderful and deserve much more kindness than a lot seem to give to them

a leafhopper
some more plant hopper nymphs with their waxy fuzzy looking coating
and some little guy that i’m not 100% sure about what they are but im thinkin a green lacewing in its larval form
