@barsch41@colebankertv Oregon, Mississippi State, and NC State all backed out of their home-and-home series with Tech. Bigger conference teams don’t want to risk taking a brutal loss to Tech. Just the reality.
Final thoughts from last night’s incredible night in Lubbock:
1. Tremendous game plan to slow not stop @BYUMBB AJ Dybantsa by @TexasTechMBB. Packed the lane on his dribble-downs & walled up without fouling. @AtwellDonovan is a dawg!
2. Rob Wright is unguardable at college level. Picked his spots perfectly to play in AND OUT of the offense.
3. FOUR athletic defenders over 6-6 guarded @chrisanders2024 and the slowed him down but NOT stop him.
4. My friend @JCrossover should be very proud of freshman Jaylen Petty. He represents the “206” perfectly.
5. On a big @Big12Conference game night, there are a few better places in the country than United Supermarkets Arena.
6. Aside from being a great player, Richie Saunders is the master of the 50-50 ball.
7. Kudos to a Final Four level officiating crew. They met the moment and let the players decide the game.
I never take for granted what get to do, so thanks for last night, Lubbock! 🏀👍🏼❤️
Hate to see it end this way, but this was a special and historic season for @TexasTechFB. Love this special group of seniors, and appreciate everything they have done for our university and for our community. Thank you!
This season is just the beginning!! We will continue to build. Continue to develop. We will double down on resources, commitment, and resolve.
Long Live the Matadors!!
