@DamiWayne2@Aveilein Yep. I was born in 1996 and film cameras were everywhere in my childhood. My mind was blown when I first saw a digital one in like 2001. Like no way you can actually see the photo immediately on a screen, what?? Cut to 2007 and we suddenly have smartphones
@ceyarma_ Yep. For me it felt great from the very beginning, but then took a huge dip with the Nameless Ripper subplot. But it’s only uphill from here. Enjoy the rest of the ride!
@IronWoodkid@ShioCary It’s an echochamber circlejerk clique that convinced themselves that it’s everyone else who’s actually in the echochamber. Fascinating sight tbh, rarely have I seen such scale of delusion in videogame fandoms
@HoliestSaoirse@Osinttechnical It’s not socialist, it’s a depiction of a 19th century monument to the 17th century historical figures Minin and Pozharsky https://t.co/pf2ok9di5U
@GodsFossil@soonrightaway Kojima is built totally different though. Metal Gear has so many layers to its narrative. The surface layers are the opposite of subtlety, but if you dig deeper, there’s myriads of microscopic details providing infinite possibilities for analysis
@kalamitykal@inkblotPrincess That’s like one of the few games where movement inertia actually serves a purpose, because movement itself is a core game mechanic there instead of an afterthought, like in the absolute majority of other games
