Every now and then I see mentions of Lambs body type and I just start punching the air screaming GUYS GUUUUYS WE HAVE OFFICIAL REFERENCES THEY’RE AMAZING STILL HERE WAS THE BEST THING EVER FOR THIS CHARACTER!!!!!
Lamb body sculpt is right there!! https://t.co/Ef3PIFHKiM
@Korb_inian Woahhhh that’s really cool!! I’ve only played a little bit of overwatch bc of Venture, I didn’t know it had skins like this. That’s sick inspiration
@Korb_inian BARE SKULL IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA????
My biggest grievance with their design has always been the mask shape and I love how your art accounts for it! Sheep are my favorite animal so I’ve always been a bit annoyed by the mask lol
(I AGREE!! I’M SO AFRAID OF A HUMANOID FACE)
Kindred is incredibly close to my heart and I am very picky on their portrayal, and I haven’t been too happy with a lot of modern changes either.
Still Here is just a beautiful, gorgeous piece of art. It is an inspiration like so much of these studios work!
The ref post is getting so much more attention then I expected, I LOVE the Still Here model because of how we have all of the steps to its final model and I think it’s incredibly pretty! It is an absolute god send for art and has helped me so much with angles and their markings.
And because I was thinking about it, I don’t consider LoRs Kindred lore as canon! I view it as Folklore, much like the rest of Kindreds past prior to the Lamb and Wolf. They are tales passed down by generations. The Kindred are finality and always will be.
@Thea_ArtsFox I’m praying for updated models when League Next comes, but we’ll see. I hope they don’t just port all of the wild rift ones because some of those champ redesigns are downgrades
Seeing it mentioned a few times about how this is far too human, this is the ungroomed model without all of the wool. If you click the link, it has the groomed model too!
Both artwork descriptions has the credits for who the leads were, sculpts, groomers, ALL OF IT!!
We have a model of Lambs bow too and the artist who modeled that one!! This is a literal reference gold mine and it’s amazing since their model in League is so outdated
@suprakirby@ttwisted35 If you look at the link, it’s because I posted the ungroomed one since it’s a better reference. They’ve still got all the fluff!
@AryasDemise I think the design works when viewing Kindred through a lens of transition in their lore, especially after the Pale Man was basically canonized.
I do agree that the other models / refs show them off incredibly, I just adore the visual fidelity and closeups we have of Still Heres
@ttwisted35 Seeing Kindred in motion in a cinematic after years of playing was stunning, but I do prefer when they’re more monstrous in previous iterations.
I’ve just come to accept that it won’t ever be the same after legends of runeterras changes to the character :’)
