@gceccles @swtrains_watch I think you are being unfair on Gerald Corbett and Steve Marshall - and at privatisation Railtrack had a railwayman as CEO (John Edmonds). Both Corbett and Marshall were good listeners who surrounded themselves with railway expertise. Both were let down by Directors infighting.

Cannot emphasise how bad this is. Our costs for electrification are dire entirely because we only do it in boom and bust bursts.
