Despite being a decade old, these games don’t need a remaster because they hold up well. All I want is a port to modern consoles so fresh eyes can experience a series of games that I feel are worth playing. It’s not everyone’s favorite FF game(s) but there’s a lot to enjoy.

Now that I’m done with the FFXIII trilogy, I gotta say that I’m really happy that I put the time into it. Each game, despite a few flaws, really had serval aspects that shined as beautifully as Lightning herself.

LR: literally took every aspect of the first two games and threw it all away. Despite not having a party, the combat system might be the best. It was faster paced and more creative as you could choose your builds for Lightning. BEST damn FINALE!

@TropicalMaku XIII: best characters and character progression, and beautiful cgi
XIII-2: best overall game out of the trilogy, improved on the first game, easier to follower story, monster capturing
LR: wasn’t afraid to be different, arguing best compact due to pacing, and best ending

I’m pretty convinced that FF fans are equally the most passionate and the most toxic. The series as a whole is one of the most dynamic franchises that isn’t afraid to try new things. Unfortunately it’s so easy to hate the latest FF game because it’s not their favorite.
