When Seamus Coleman made his Everton first-team debut against Benfica on 22 October 2009, Josh O’Dwyer hadn’t even been born.

O’Dwyer, who has just earned his first senior Ireland call-up for the trip to Canada, wasn’t born until 17 March 2010.

16 years on, the two are now part of the same Ireland squad.

Ireland U16 squad announced for this week’s games in Finland! 🇮🇪

A 20-man squad has been named for fixtures against Finland, Latvia and Iceland over the next week, with the coaching staff making a number of changes from the last camp to give opportunities to as many players as possible.

Several members of the Ireland U17 World Cup qualifying squad are included, while Manchester United’s Ben Lyne steps up an age group having been promoted from the U15s.
