@EurovisionTom @ImStevan Silk Way Star was held for the first time last year. It saw 12 singers from 12 countries competing, performing covers each week. The participating countries were: 🇦🇲, 🇦🇿, 🇨🇳, 🇬🇪, 🇰🇿, 🇰🇬, 🇲🇾, 🇲🇳, 🇰🇷, 🇹🇯, 🇹🇲, 🇺🇿. Last year, Kazakhstan was the organising broadcaster.

@EurovisionTom It’s interesting in that list of non Song Contest final hosts, you’ve got JESC, EYM and EYD etc. hosts - 🇵🇱, 🇨🇿, 🇸🇮, 🇷🇴, 🇧🇬, 🇨🇾, 🇲🇹, 🇬🇪 and 🇦🇲. Of those 🇵🇱, 🇨🇿, 🇦🇲 and 🇲🇹 have hosted multiple editions.

My ask in return is this: before you go speculating, maybe just ask me directly and I can explain why four fantastic team members leaving isn't the end of a team of over 20 people wanting to continue bringing you coverage of an event that drew us all together.

I'll hold my hands up and say I was naive to think that reporting on an event by providing context would be enough. I've seen the feedback and I agree, it's not something that the site should do and as a result, the coverage has stopped.

I've been through ups and downs this past year, and like everyone, I have had to question my passion over the past two contests. But I want to be clear, we're still a fantastic team, we all deeply care and I want to see things get better.
