For people who do not know, this fixture is a tradition for Bayern Munich.

Almost every year, Bayern play against an amateur team called FC Rottach-Egern because they usually have their annual summer training camp in the town where this team is located.

It’s more like a thank-you gesture to the town for their hospitality. The team also get all the proceeds from ticket sales and the likes.

Bayern beat them 20–2 in 2018, 23–0 in 2019, 27–0 in 2023, and 14–1 in 2024. They’re currently beating them 12-0😭

🚨🇰🇷 BREAKING: Just 3 days after officially announcing his signing, Kang-in Lee is already the signing that has sold the most Atlético Madrid shirts before even playing a match.

South Korea and the United States, where there is a large Korean community of around two million people, are the two biggest sales markets.

The biggest commercial boost is still to come when Atlético travel to South Korea on 5 August.

The club will open an Atleti House, similar to the ones it operated in Los Angeles during the FIFA Club World Cup and in Miami ahead of the derby. The venue will feature an official club store, host a range of fan events, and broadcast Atlético’s match against Manchester City.

In addition, two official retail outlets will open inside two of Seoul’s largest shopping centres. For now, these will be temporary, although their long-term future will depend on the level of demand and could also pave the way for commercial partnerships with major South Korean brands.
