A boy decided that his visit to an Austrian concentration camp was the perfect time to wear his Dalal Mughrabi Free Palestine shirt.

Dalal was a terrorist who helped hijack a bus filled with Israeli civilians, including children. She and the other terrorists murdered 38 people on that bus, 13 of them children.

If it isn't immediately obvious why you shouldn't wear a shirt with the face of a woman who killed Jews for being Jewish at a former concentration camp, I can't help you.

I woke up this morning filled with grief and rage.

Three more protesters were hanged this morning in Iran. Publicly, from cranes, to show the consequences of dissent.

A fourth young woman, Anahita Azarshab, was shot and killed for protesting the hangings.

If you haven’t breathed a word about them, don’t you dare speak up to protest the war on their killers.

Es reicht mit den Floskeln. Es reicht mit den inhaltsleeren Kommentaren, die nach jeder Tat dasselbe Vokabular ausrollen und nichts benennen. Nennen wir es beim Namen: Es ist der Islamismus. Nicht „Radikalisierung” im luftleeren Raum, nicht „Gewalt” ohne Absender, nicht „ein verwirrter Einzeltäter”. Es ist eine Ideologie mit Namen, mit Feindliste und mit einem geschlossenen Weltbild, das das Töten heiligt.

Diese Feindliste ist lang: Juden, Christen, liberale Muslime, Atheisten, Schwule, queere Menschen — jeder, der das Leben feiert, statt es einem Gebot zu unterwerfen. Seit drei Jahren stecken wir mitten in einer Radikalisierungswelle, und der Nahostkonflikt wirkt als ihr Katalysator: Er liefert die Emotion, über die manipuliert, mobilisiert und rekrutiert wird, auf der Straße, online und in Moscheen. Deshalb dürfen nicht nur die Täter im Fokus stehen, sondern die Hintermänner und Hinterfrauen, die im Namen der Toleranz ungestört agieren und Menschen für den Tod gewinnen.

Und wir müssen ehrlich sein, warum das gerade hier geschieht: Islamisten fühlen sich in Europa wohl, auch in Deutschland. Sie verachten unsere Ordnung und nutzen zugleich jede Freiheit, die sie ihnen bietet, um ihre Ideologie zu verbreiten. Sie berufen sich auf die Religionsfreiheit, um genau die Gesellschaft zu untergraben, die ihnen diese Freiheit garantiert. Das muss aufhören. Religionsfreiheit schützt den Glauben — sie ist kein Schutzschild für eine politische Ideologie, die ihr Gift im Namen Gottes verbreitet.

Es ist kein Zufall, dass der Terrorist in eine queere Feier rast. Der CSD ist kein beliebiges Ziel. Er ist das Symbol jener Ordnung, die der Islamist am meisten hasst.
Diese Gesellschaft aber hat das Wegsehen zur Methode gemacht. Man kontextualisiert, man relativiert. Toleranz, die den Feind der Toleranz nicht benennt, schützt am Ende nur ihn. Die Freiheit stirbt nicht am Terror. Sie stirbt an unserer Sprachlosigkeit danach.

Mojtaba Kian was arrested, tried, and executed in less than 50 days.

All of it happened under a 13-week internet blackout the longest state-imposed digital blackout in human history.

No witnesses. No international pressure. No chance for his family to scream for help.

You cannot make peace with a regime that executes their own people faster than the world can count them.

None of the U.S. presidents included human rights as a central condition in their nuclear deals with the Islamic Republic. That omission gave the regime power, money, legitimacy, and time while the Iranian people paid the price.

The organizers of the Rome Pride Parade just announced that the Jewish LGBTQ+ groups Keshet Italia and Keshet Europe will not be allowed to join the parade with a float, citing that they did not sufficiently "distance themselves" from what they describe as the “genocide in Gaza.”

Keshet Italia were clear about what is actually going on, which has nothing to do with helping Palestinians: “Our crime? To be Jewish. This is just the last step in a hostile path. Last year, during the parade, we received explicit antisemitic attacks, and the Roma Pride chose to remain silent, refusing to condemn them. Today, that silence has become active complicity."

The Rome Pride organizers claim to recognize the distinction between Jews and the Israeli government's actions.

Yet they are still imposing an impossible-to-pass purity test on a group for LGBTQ+ Italian Jews.

Queer Jews should not have to check any part of our identities at the door.

Isn't that the whole point of pride?
