Most people’s concern with Bitcoin doesn’t make it far past “it good when number go up.” And that’s the only reason I can think of why people are excited about billionaires taking public leadership roles with Bitcoin/mining. The thing is, “number go up” with or w/o these people

What does make sense to me is why a shrewd billionaire whose name is already tied to tech and $ would want to attach his name to Bitcoin as it enters the mainstream. Society will attribute some degree of BTC success to him and he will reap untold rewards in soc/pol/econ capital
