On September 30, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the Town and County of Antigonish remember the children lost to residential schools, honours survivors, and affirms that Every Child Matters.
Please be advised that residents may notice brown or discoloured water. This is the result of a structure fire response that is currently impacting the water system. College Street is closed in all directions while fire crews respond to the incident.
Please be advised that crosswalk guards help keep children safe on their way to and from school.
Drivers, cyclists, and e-scooter riders must stop and yield the full roadway until they’re on the sidewalk. Failing to yield is unsafe and carries a $697.40 fine in NS.

Help Keep Antigonish Fresh: Flush Responsibly!
Our sewer system is built for the 3 P’s—pee, poo & paper. Flushing other items clogs aerators & causes odours. Check the list of what NOT to flush & help keep our community clean and smelling fresh.
The Fall 2025 Bulky Waste Collection is an opportunity for residents of the Town of Antigonish to dispose of unwanted items that do not fit in a regular garbage bag. Collection days will only happen once in your neighbourhood and is based on your regular garbage pickup schedule.
Please be advised that due to damage to the pump house, the Splash Park is currently out of service. Our team is assessing the situation and working to repair the damage as quickly as possible.
Important: Nuisance Party By-law
Students: Review our nuisance party by-law to understand your responsibilities as hosts and guests. Both can face fines starting at $400 if gatherings become disruptive or pose safety risks.
