worshipping a goddess and leaving out menstruating women is an irony in itself, thankfully no one in my house cares, I've had periods in navratris a lot of times, they genuinely couldn't care less
I'm on my periods rn so I'm not allowed to touch anything related to navratri puja. Tomorrow's kanya pujan & for the first time, i can't even pack the gifts for the kanjaks like i do every year. Worshipping a goddess while treating women as impure for smth so natural, the irony๐ฅ
My faith in Sanatan Dharma is not up for debate. ๐๏ธ๐ฉ
Apparently, that alone is enough to trigger some people into hurling insults. My faith, my choice. I owe no one an explanation.
Blessed to have been part of this divine Navratri celebration in Dubai! ๐๐ฉ
Beyond the vibrant Garba, it was a beautiful reminder of how faith and devotion to Maa Durga keep us connected to our roots, wherever we are.
Heartfelt thanks to the organizers!

In case you donโt know Kubra Khademi, sheโs Afghan who wore a suit of armor & walked the streets of Kabul in 2015 to protest street harassment
I think about her every time Iโm harassed in the street
Women are forced to fight a battle with their own bodies just to exist in public
I've reached a point in life where I no longer feel the need to explain myself to everyone.
I've fought battles nobody knows about, made difficult choices, and learned lessons the hard way.
I may not be where I want to be yet, but I'm proud of the person I'm Now. โค๏ธ
