@cqcqcqdx Was it located in the laundry room? Wow, just wow. Never seen one that bad in 30 years of being in and around IT. One positive, if ever shipped, no need for bubble wrap. LOL
@RNCResearch Has anyone asked her what she will speak to? If not, someone needs to.
Every clip of her, I stumble across, she says the same thing about every question, "I'm just not going to speak to that. I would refer you to XYZ or ABC."
@TheNotARubicon "brigade level comms"? Is that right? I don't recall comms at the brigade level ever working worth a rats arse. I guess this mad ham was a commo unicorn.
@AK8CW@WD9EWK@joedom Tge videos I've seen, the D72 seems pretty straightforward. Still, there are so many things going on at one time. You'll get the hang of it quickly, I'm sure.
Yep, the pass times aren't ideal currently. Yep,we need to sked a pass.
@AK8CW@WD9EWK@joedom Haha, good analogy. I tried a pass several days ago with FT3D, couldn't figure out why my packets weren't going through... I forgot to change my path 🙄 It was still set for terrestrial APRS 🤣 And I thought I was doing so well. 🤣
@Dan1231@LUpthegrove@efduncan60@bennyjohnson Oh man, you had it made! LOL Our two shop teachers were similar, very laid back. Lots of scopes got boresighted just before deer season.
@Dan1231@LUpthegrove@efduncan60@bennyjohnson They didn't mind as long as they were unloaded, any ammo was locked in the glove box, and the vehicle was locked. This was in small town, North Mississippi, where everyone knew everyone.
@Dan1231@LUpthegrove@efduncan60@bennyjohnson In the late 80s, when I was a freshman in high school, it was common to see hunting rifles and/or shotguns hanging in the back glass of students' trucks. Many of us would go hunting before school. The principal & teachers didn't mind as long as....
@LUpthegrove@efduncan60@bennyjohnson Oh lordy, I hate to hear that. It's bad enough when that happens with adults, but even worse when kids are involved.
@LUpthegrove@efduncan60@bennyjohnson After passing the test, an ID card was issued, that was required to get a hunting license. Amazing isn't it? In the 80's, 12 & 13 year old kids being taught gun safety.
@LUpthegrove@efduncan60@bennyjohnson As a kid we had Hunter Safety Classes taught at school. Half of the day was classroom instruction, second half spent at an indoor range. Then a 30 question test, miss a question, you fail.
@WD9EWK@_N9GO@AK8CW@joedom Thanks Patrick! The FT2DR & FT3DR menu's are close enough, the APRS menus very well could be the same. Cumbersome? YES! LOL Yaesu could have reduced the steps it takes to send a message.
@KB5FHK_Tom Almost there... Best of luck to you. Whenever you're back in MS, maybe we can work out a sked. Other than my home grid (EM54) I don't think I have any from my home state. LOL
