Airports really need gyms and showers. If I have a 3-hour layover, I’d rather get a workout in, stretch, shower, and walk onto the plane feeling fresh than sit around drinking overpriced airport coffee.
@Cathal_Dennehy It’s also kind of a shame Femke steals all the publicity. Werro seems so nice, calm and gracious in her interviews. She’s a true champ - but the competition is great to watch.
@BoardingArea@yourownkanoo Thank you. Completely agree on the Qatar point - main reason I avoid for personal travel. Don’t agree they are all the same tho - travelled premium with Lufthansa once and it was worse than Qatar economy. Never again.
@BoardingArea@YourMileageVary That’s great. Give the staff member an award. It doesn’t help their brand to fleece customers. Sometimes using the pass for food is better than the lounge where the food sucks (esp in Germany)
@DublinAirport If you could just have it 1min from the car park and go straight into the lounge it could compete with modern airport design… (not your fault - just poor design thinking during the original build)
@micknugent I remember this well. The argument was repeated from the pulpit in packed churches (when people still went to mass). Listening to a priest give a “science lecture” was one of the reasons I left religion behind.
@KarlBrophy@joehas Try integrating a company which works across the Nordics, Germany and Italy … June, July, August… nothing happens. And we wonder why the US and Chinese are eating our lunch.
10 years ago my wife, the mum of our kids & the MP for Batley&Spen was killed by a far right extremist.
At anniversaries I try to be optimistic about the future. But not this time. In the ten years since she was killed we have gone backwards & I fear our democracy is now at risk
@joehas Best use case I’ve seen so far - real time fact checking during a meeting. “My corporate customers prefer this” AI: I heard that, and I have data which suggests that’s not true. - massive data over ego and hyperbole inflection point. AI listening to and participating in meetings.
@stevemagness Running fast is more fun, more practical when you have limited time (eg 30mins/ day) and can reduce injuries when combined with strength (at least for my 55yr old body).
Fast = Fun. Slow = Boring.
@Craicthewhip_@GroovySciFi Not true. It also comes from simple economic migrants- eg European or Asian parents who have their first child while working in the US on H1Bs for tech etc. this is very common - home is where your friends are, not some outdated concept of nationalism.
