Overall pleased with the CoB statement that just hit inboxes:
The College of Bishops of the Anglican Church in North America deposed Derek Jones from the Sacred Ministry on September 23, 2026.
This is in response to his guilt of four canonical charges against him, as determined by the Court for the Trial of a Bishop. The facts now established show that over a period of many years he has offended against God and the Body of Christ through acts of wickedness, cruelty, and abuse of power against chaplains with limited recourse.
The pain and destruction to these chaplains and their families is loathsome, and we are deeply ashamed and lament that members of this body who knew about this behavior neither urgently nor robustly addressed concerns and complaints regarding Mr. Jones.
Having read the affidavits and victim statements, we commit to continual prayer for victims known and unknown, pleading for God’s healing and hope. We also commit as a College to do everything in our power to address these injustices.
While we understand that we are unable to fully expunge the pain, destruction, and despair inflicted upon the lives of those who suffered, the College is undertaking a process by which chaplains may obtain canonical and pastoral restoration.
As part of our collective repentance, we recognize the culture of our College must change and we are seeking to understand how this abuse was allowed to happen.
Finally, the goal of disciplining a bishop is to protect the sheep and to invite the fallen shepherd to repent. Let us all fix our eyes on Christ Jesus the Good Shepherd under whose authority and care we all stand.

I'm Anglican:
Article 18 of the 39
They also are to be had accursed that presume to say, That every man shall be saved by the Law or Sect which he professeth, so that he be diligent to frame his life according to that Law, and the light of Nature. For holy Scripture doth set out unto us only the Name of Jesus Christ, whereby men must be saved.
The church needs to care about cases like this, and really start praying about what solutions we can offer either to contribute to social services-child welfare, or to reform it.
@SherriKEdman (It’s not good to mentally abuse children) but it leads enough interpretation open for the wrong person to remove children if they don’t like the way a parent handles a child’s gender dysphoria.
To join with an affirming, pro-abortion female Episcopal “bishop” in a service of communion as if she were a legitimate shepherd and not a wolf is no different than joining with a priest of Baal or Molech.
I don't care if they are blood related or on the board together, St. John writes: "Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works"(2 John 9-11).
The reason for this command is that when you treat wolves as if they are legitimate shepherds, the sheep looking on get confused and then devoured by the very wolf you're busy chumming around with. So you greet and welcome and engage with the wolf as if she’s a shepherd and you participate in the destruction of souls and bodies. That is her "wicked work" in this case.
There's no exception clause for being on the same board or this being a school dedication.
@RevAdamATC The administration of the sacrament is split up like this at Nashota House. I see why it’s visually strange but Bishop Chip has done a lot of behind the scenes work to calm tensions so that many properties have been relinquished by TEC to the Dio of SC without much of the same.
I’m not gonna get into the nitty gritty of the Allberry situation, but it is quite sad that this person keeps trying to sow conspiracy and discord behind an anonymous account.
This is about using “ACNA West” (which holds all Western diocese to the same canonical standards for their clergy) as a model. C4SO isn’t a part of it. Bishop Menees is very vocal about how all priests *should* be transferable in the ACNA, but that this is impossible with WO.
@RevJaredJones I’m more interested in the biblically faithful doctrines subscribed than to what form of oversight decided. For far too long I’ve had “Anglican” described by formalism and externals than what it professes theologically.
@monkofjustice Interesting to note:

I guess it’s up to the readers discretion whether the Dobbs and Jones dispute should be escalated to this point.
