It’s amazing what you can do when you’re not ground into the earth by your crappy job!
I spend an hour a day writing and actually putting pen to paper. I feel liberated.
Chapter 9 is coming soon!

Why is it that my Peter Pan fanfic is still on the Wattpad charts 3 years after I finished it but I can’t get my nonfanfic book to get anywhere?! #WritingCommunity #writerstruggles #amwriting #dontlookatthecharts #itsnumber408inpeterpan

@EvanovaLev @Dwarven_King_SH Hi there! I’m a Latine LGBTQ+ author with a racially inclusive story starring Squirrel Browning (monster hunter) and Chrysanthemum Moonchild (witch). Together they solve mysteries and fight monsters!

@DDenewett My dude, if Steven Universe can wear yellow and pink, then all men can wear yellow and pink.

@SC_Parent I knew a russian guy named Kiril Khomenko. I always thought it was a cool name!

[LauraMadison @AnywhoAuthor]

Maybe I just need a good editor to tell me where I’m going wrong. I’m definitely open to one.

Question for all those Wattpad writers out there: how long did it take your non-fandom works to take off? It feels like mine is taking a million years and I barely have any comments or regular readers. It’s been 5 months with this book. #concerned #books #authorstruggles

[LauraMadison @AnywhoAuthor]

@JackOSWALD14 @Dwarven_King_SH Chapter 8 is coming for Browning and Moonchild: the Beast of Paradise Falls! Chapters 1-7 are available for your reading pleasure.
Also anyone who reblogs this with the #browningandmoonchild will have their name featured in the book!

@NormBoyington @artinginteralia I like Wattpad but it’s hard to get going if you aren’t doing fanfic

[LauraMadison @AnywhoAuthor]

@JScottScheffer1 I work with several. They aren’t worth your time.

[LauraMadison @AnywhoAuthor]

@Bellemoon99 This is so adorable! 🥰

[LauraMadison @AnywhoAuthor]

It’s sooooo important! Leave comments too! Comments encourage us to write and reminds us that there’s a reason for writing!

[Halo Scot (mostly on IG/Substack) @halo_scot]

If you rate a book 1–2*, PLEASE ALSO LEAVE A REVIEW.

This hugely affects indie authors (with fewer ratings than our traditional counterparts) and lowers our overall score significantly, so we want to know WHY. Help us improve. Don’t smite and scram.

Rant over. Resume Friday.

To all you other authors who are too tired to write rn, I’m right there with you. #WritingCommunity #realtalk #exhausted #tiredwriter #nofilter
