Communicating with educators across the globe is what drives me.

An incredible challenge lies ahead, but we cannot do it with negativity & hate. Let's focus on providing our kids our very best. Let's make the best of an otherwise awful situation & seize this opportunity to be better than we've ever been. Let’s reimagine education together.

I cannot express how proud I am of these outstanding students & their incredible teachers! Our Calc students outperformed the entire State by nearly .5 & our AP Lit students scored even higher. Nobody can tell me CCSD doesn’t have tremendous talent! @MikeMbarton @karlaloria

Brother, brother, brother, there's far too many of you dying. You know we've got to find a way, To bring some lovin' here today.~ MG, 1971
50 years later, these words still mean everything. Only love will conquer hate. Words are one thing, now we just need to live it. Everyday.

Stopped by a few seniors’ homes this morning with some Class of 2020 swag & a little Vista gear. Fingers crossed for a ceremony...working on that next! @NVSupt @TrusteeFord @VistaDynasty @herffjones

Tonight, my family’s thoughts and prayers are with Dr. Lorna Breen, E.R. Medical Dir. (NYC). She took her own life due to the trauma she witnessed while working on the front lines. This is a reminder that we will be dealing with the aftermath of this virus, long after it’s gone.

I’m staying home for my mom. What about you? @andrewcuomo thank you for the inspiration & motivation.

Absolutely incredible learning experience this morning, sitting in Ms. Cotter’s Bio class. The kids engaged with Neil Shubin, who discovered the Tiktaalik, a cross between a fish & a crocodile. The high level questions from students were more than impressive. @SuptJaraCCSD

Tonight, 34 students commited to REACH for academic excellence, & have pledged to take at least one honors course in 10th grade & beyond. Very proud of my staff for making equity & access to rigorous coursework a priority at our school. #1forkids @ClarkCountySch @LeoTheLionSVHS

As a fan & a father, I, along w/ millions of others, am devastated by the loss of Kobe Bryant. I want my students to keep in mind that life can be so short, and it’s important to be kind & caring to one another, always. There is no time to hate, bully, or disrespect. #wearevista

Had some awesome Vista students out early this morning helping @MichaelNaft with the county’s cleanup efforts. Partnerships like this are crucial! #wearevista @ClarkCountySch @LeoTheLionSVHS @SuptJaraCCSD @DeptSuptGullett

I want to take a moment to recognize this very special young man. David has truly beaten the odds & will grad in May. He has had to work 2x as hard as most & will attend UNLV in the fall. This incredible team of educators & his amazing mom helped make it happen. @SuptJaraCCSD

In order to continue moving the needle in the right direction, we need teachers to think creatively & differently than ever before. Kudos to @LVStreets17 & his SV Govt students - teaching/learning compromise, while exceeding state standards. @SuptJaraCCSD @DeptSuptGullett

Very proud to share an incredible experience of giving, as my Vista students delivered a toy to every single student at Hummel ES today. Special thanks to @AlfonzoMarbella, our wonderful staff & students, & of course, Santa. @SuptJaraCCSD @LeoTheLionSVHS
