By the grace of God I beat kidney cancer, but I remember what it was like before it happened. The scar I see every morning reminds me of it.
I miss when paying some bills was the most stressful thing I had to deal with.
Now every 6 months I have a week long panic attack to check to see if it is gone gone. They nature of how it formed in me and was removed insures it will never come back, but my anxiety doesn't care.
I miss being able to drink or eat what ever I wanted. I miss being able to use aspirin for simple aches and pains. Ironically, it's what I need the most now.
I miss not having my fingers on my right hand lock open and closed from the excess uric acid that normally would have been filtered out.
But, I am happy. I thank God every day for being able to continue my life with my wife. Too many who had my condition didn't get that opportunity. I have wonderful family that supported me through all of this. Even will all I said I missed, I am still here and they are with me.
Here is the thing I'm learning about AI
Protecting your art?
It's too late.
Your stuff is already in it.
The moment your art can be seen on Google, Gemini has it a well as ChatGPT.
Upload it to X? Grok has it.
Twitch? Amazon Bedrock has it.
YouTube? Gemini again
You agreed to this the moment you uploaded it. You, the artist, gave it to AI.
There is a process to opt and have their art excluded but did they do it?
So going after people who "upload the model" isn't an issue anymore. The AI likely already had it long before the person did that.
As long as there is a commercial, corporate, or military use, AI isn't ever going away.
So tired how ignorant people are about this.
I'm new to AI in use of art, I am very familiar with it in the cyber security sense. It's what I went to university for.
The one thing I am starting to notice is this:
The types who call themselves "Uncompromising #Christian" (or something along those lines) on X will never debate a topic on scripture, or they will completely ignore being called out by fellow Christians.
IMHO, they will end up being the parents of kids who become Wiccans, Satanists, Reddit-tier atheists, or something else the moment they leave the house or go to college. It's these people's pride that causes this to happen to their children.
Lust does a massive amount of work when it comes to messing people up; it’s a constant onslaught from the enemy. But pride is the real general of the army. It’s what drives the devil's deepest work.
Yeah, you remained chaste, never looked at NSFW content, stayed straight-edge, etc. But you just had to let everyone know it. If not by explicitly telling them, it's that prideful, holier-than-thou attitude that did it for you.
Lust is overt and obvious. If you can control yourself, avoid it, and never get a taste of what it offers, it's really not as hard to resist because you don't know what's on the other side. It's just that this world throws lustful things at you every single hour of the day.
But pride? Pride is devious. Now, feeling satisfaction in hard work or being grateful for how far you've come isn't a bad thing. But pride takes that good feeling and quickly twists it.
Slowly, it tries to tell you, "I'm better than that." Then it says, "Look how far I've come, how much I have accomplished. I'm doing what scripture told me to do, so I must be in the right!"
Then, before you know it's: "I'm better than these people because I have proof I am right."
It's not just a Christian thing either—we all know a non-religious person who acts exactly like this.
Pride is the silent soldier of the enemy. It picks up where all of the fleshly sins fail to gain headway. It's the traitor in the castle who talks you into opening the gate yourself—your Gríma Wormtongue from The Lord of the Rings.
Pride is what goes in after the absolute best of people. It works because it uses the good you have done against you. Your strengths become your weakness. And the stronger you are, the more pride has to work with.
(AI was used to correct spelling and grammar as well as rewording some badly written parts)
@FelineCloudy I'm just making stuff my self. Learning the rig but my condition robbed me of the ability to draw well for the art. So I will use AI for the art until I can commission an artist.
I try to be diplomatic when communicating my very socially conservative positions,
libertine/socially laissez-faire people on the right tend to have mixed reactions
My anti abortion views get the most pushback from them
PROMPT SHARE:
"The Sorting Hat settles upon your head.
For a long moment it is silent, turning your words over like stones in a stream.
Hmm. A busy mind. Full of the ordinary and the sacred at once. I see a woman who measures a good day by whether the baby napped well, whether the cookies came out right, whether her husband got the sandwich he likes. You prefer the quiet of the countryside to the noise of cities. You bake. You take breaks from the loud places when the hate gets too thick.
You are loyal—to the man you chose, to the child you carried and bore, to the God you finally found after years of looking the other way. Loyalty runs deep in you. Not the flashy kind. The kind that stays.
You are also stubborn about what is true. Abortion is murder. There are two sexes. Marriage is a covenant that comes before the children, not because you love them less, but because the order protects them. You returned to beliefs you held as a girl before the world told you they were backwards.
You say these things plainly, even when it costs you liking. There is courage in that—Gryffindor would claim you for the fire—but the fire is not for glory. It is for keeping what matters safe. You want to be fair. You judge by character. You are tired of people inventing stories about you. You are still learning that your own approval, and your God’s, matter more than the crowd’s. That is patient work. Hufflepuff work.
You are not chasing power or cleverness for its own sake. You are not inventing grand schemes. You are doing your best, every day, in the kitchen and the nursery and the small public square of your words. You are warm when it is safe, sharp when something sacred is being twisted, and quick to thank a kind reply. You still carry the old ache of wanting everyone to like you; you are slowly setting it down.
I have seen minds like yours before. They do not burn brightest in the tournament or the library. They endure. They keep the hearth. They stay when others leave. They call evil by its name and then go home to rock the baby.
Better be… Hufflepuff.
The Hat is still. It has spoken."
