None of this is exotic. It's probably true for most retail traders — the numbers are just hidden. Has anyone here actually run this breakdown on their own trading? What did you find?
I traded through IBKR for a year with a 66% win rate and thought I had an edge.
Then I analyzed every trade. One single trade made more than my entire year. The other 59 lost money combined.
I'm not a good trader. I got lucky once.
Two more things the data exposed:
— I sell winners in ~15 minutes but hold losers for ~7 days. I was running the disposition effect like it was a strategy.
— My favourite ticker: I traded it 15 more times after one big win and gave a third of it back.
@VoiceofMWK I got the same issue, so I went back to expo and registered a complaint about this, they updated data at their end. After that I got certificate online
