@TommyEdisonXP My now 16yo son used that noisy tool when he started learning Braille. Thankfully, he moved on to the Braille reader, which syncs to his laptop. Much quieter. :-)

@bencoates1 I struggle with this picture. While it's great there is the flexibility that enables PT work, it doesn't leave a lot of space for meaningful career progress & financial security. Especially for women, who often work PT to juggle family life & demands.

I would freak out if I started 2 think abt how my blind teen will navigate a uni campus, transport, love life etc. It's a learning journey 4 all😍

@BlindDad_Uk @Kika_GuideDog I love these hacks! A blind woman I met through my son's cross-country ski lessons (for blind folks) has 3 kids. She had all sorts of tricks & tips to monitor them when they played outside. The kids wore wooden clogs (we're in the Netherlands), & she always knew where they were.

@annaholligan @theJeremyVine Poor @theJeremyVine looks very stressed. I'm not a big cyclist, but I definitely appreciate the supportive space cyclists have in the Netherlands (although I am not a big fan of e-bikes).

My 16 yo blind teen gets mega-peeved when I rush to catch the train with him or to an appointment. Taking a new route looks scary to me, but you don't seem intimidated. Respect.

@BlindDad_Uk Outrageous. Makes me furious and sad all at once. What was this taxi driver thinking?! Good that you had back up but even better that you were a strong advocate for yourself. I hope there’s a way to report the driver and use this as an example of how he should behave in future.
