Japan is fucked. The US has left them to hang. Yen is going to depreciate like crazy. The carry trade will no longer work. Japanese citizens will not be able to afford anything outside of their country. Japan buying up the US debt was the biggest two country Ponzi. Seppuku!
Stock has now more than doubled and it is a ripe play to be bought out in my mind. I give it 12-18 months that some tier 1 US bank acquires them as their crypto arm. The race is on to scale adoption and GLXY gives you a business with expertise on how to scale instantly. Mike N going to get paid!
Galaxy Digital is an underrated Crypto play. They are already a regulated institution and will be first in line to capture the institutional market at scale. If BTC pumps they pump. Best of all is some tier 1 bank will probably end up just buying them out to play catch-up
Kawhi had a decent supporting cast. But this cast was definitely not better than all the rosters Kobe had during his chip seasons. MJ’s first three peat definitely was a worst supporting cast. Kawhi the year the Raps won was one of the most dominant performances in history. Kobe was great, but people got to stop making him sound like he did it by himself. During his 3 peat with Shaq. Shaq averaged 35-16. Pretty hard when you have arguably the most dominant center in history in his prime playing with you.
@JWepp Buddy Jordan was attacking the basket with Robinson, Ewing, Mourning, Hakeem, Shaq! Derozan attacking like string beans in this era. No disrespect to Demar but this era are softies!
@MarcJSpears There have been more athletic participants but a dunk contest is like a meal. You need the appetizer, main and dessert to all be 50s. This is where Vince will never be matched in 100 years! @mrvincecarter15
@LegionHoops Lakers got bailed out huge not taken Poor Man Oden 2.0. They should have been held to the contract. Cause they know what they were getting into.
@KnicksMemes Similar type of call in the Raps OKC game. Boucher called for a technical intention to injure SGA while trying to block a 3. They said he jumped from five feet out so there and had no intention to block the shot so it was intent to injure. Silver killing the NBA
@Jacobtheclipper Steph killed the NBA. It has breed a new generation of softies. Where are the Oakley’s, Shawn Kemps? Also, NBA calling technicals left, right and center. Bring back the finger wags, stare downs and even the shoves after a big play! That’s heart not insult!
People underestimating Masai's vision. The issue with the Raps has been about finding balance. Post Kawhi era we got overweighted on SF/PF tweeners and lacked a C. After Fred left we lost our 3PT shooting and PG depth. An iso go to perimeter scoring threat pretty much didn't exist since Kawhi. Then we lost bench depth. The retooling the past 3 seasons have been about addressing all these items to build around Scottie:
1. PG depth - check - IQ and Shead
2. 3PT shooting - check - BI, Dick, Walter, Battle
3. Perimeter go to scorer - check - BI and IQ
4. Starting C - check - Jakob
5. Bench depth - check - New bench mob - Shead, Mogbo, Battle etc...
6. Salary flex - check - We stayed under lux tax, have all our firsts and our bench is comprised of rookie contracts where we have RFA control a few years from now.
7. Timing to add a superstar - Next trade deadline - There are too many fake contenders on the downhill. Next season we will see the largest list of elder superstars be available in the market: Bucks, Philly, Clippers, Suns, Warriors all going to be sellers!
The tank is safe. BI still injured. Raps have a brutal schedule in Feb that they most likely lose 80% of the games. March was expected to be a easy month, but some thought to be tank commanders like Portland, Spurs and Pistons are gunning for the playoffs. We also have a healthy gap in the standings from the Bulls. Losing a spot to Brooklyn is really what's most at risk. Doubt we can out tank Hornets, Wizards, Pels and Jazz. We probably end up 5 or 6 at the moment.
I won’t even look it up, but off the top of my head VC played with Mourning, Kidd, Hakeem, Bosh, Dirk, Marion, McGrady, Marc Gasol, Trae Young, Brand, Fox, Nash, Odom the list goes on. Point being when you play for as long as Bron has you will have played with a lot of other stars along the way.
@TodayInSportsCo@KingJames Well the man is 40. So he has bound to have played with a lot of all stars. These narratives are just trying to slander the man. Pull up Vince Carter who played till 43 I bet his list of all stars is even bigger.
A starting five of Fisher, Kobe, Odom, Gasol and Bynum is not scrub. You have two arguably the most versatile SF in Odom and an all-star in Gasol. Bynum was an up and coming Center that was a giant. Add in a defensive beast in Ariza. It was probably the strongest front court in the entire NBA that year. Between Bynum, Gasol and Odom those three guys can all get you ten boards each any given night and two of the three were really good passers as well.
No disrespect to Kobe, but people got to stop making it sound Kobe did it all by himself. Kobe didn’t have CP3…but he had Shaq man! He had one of the best coaches of all-time. Shaq averaged like 35-15 in all of the championship finals they won. This is not even about LeBron, but let’s not make it sound like Kobe won with Vincenzo Esposito being his backcourt mate. Kobe played and won with some of the best rosters in his era.
As much as some people want to just FUD anything from China. Seems like some pretty prominent American VCs have come out to vouch for deepseek. I think times have changed and Chinese technology needs to be respected. If the initial reaction is to dismiss this is how you get displaced.
@TheHoopCentral True. If you watch Norm this year his approach and aura totally different. He is attacking with confidence as if he has been a ten time allstar.
Cohen, is not a guy to be pushed around. Back at SAC he would turn the air-con on the trading floor so his traders were cold and awake. This man is not one to let some agent or player dictate the rules. He does things on his terms. I think Alonso just better to move on as he has been written off now.
