@naturallyme2013@krushowy@TorontoStar Don’t have to show you anything. Many family doctors, paediatricians and child psychiatrists have attested to this. Enjoy your next 2 weeks teaching in your pyjamas 🙏🏼
@naturallyme2013@krushowy@TorontoStar They actually work for TDSB and feel safe with being double vaccinated and getting boosters now. Frontline doctors at various hospitals reached out to dispute the idea that restrictions are what is needed or will stop the spread of Omicron. Sadly that’s not who Ford listened to.
@naturallyme2013@krushowy@TorontoStar What exactly did I say that is a conspiracy theory. Sorry your ‘kids’ share your irrational fear that you perpetuate. Omicron is mild variant for which all doctors have said we should be grateful. I have 3 kids, husband a teacher and countless teacher friends. All want to go back
@naturallyme2013@krushowy@TorontoStar With cases? No. Doctors interviews this week said that while they are seeing positive results from children’s covid tests, the vast majority of cases so far have been mild and look a lot like the common cold. Lots more to worry about when it comes to kids. Do you live in a bubble
@naturallyme2013@krushowy@TorontoStar Yes because you cared so much in 2018 when there were 1,352 pediatric hospitalized cases in Ontario and 10 deaths reported. You clamoured for schools to close.
@naturallyme2013@krushowy@TorontoStar Ontario: 8 deaths under 20, 41 deaths under 30. Most were comorbidity complexes. The question EACH citizen must ask is how many deaths justify school closure and further lockdown. 98.5% survival and 91% of mortality >60yrs. Your appetite for risk is your problem, not society’s.
@PhilCrnko@brianlilley@fordnation All trust will be lost if this happens. If they think people will booster and keep vaccinating themselves to be locked up in their homes and lose their livelihoods they’ve lost their GD mind
@JamieLynn925 @JannemanRob @yonanestel@krushowy@TorontoStar@RosaJSaba Sounds like a one off. Kids and nephew / niece got omicron. All but one asymptomatic. Nephew had chills for the day and a low grade fever. And he’s unvaxxed.
@krushowy@TorontoStar@RosaJSaba No division here. My family can’t wait for kids to go back and no irrational fear here. This isn’t March 2020 or April 2021. We have vaccines, and a much milder variant. Boards are allowing for virtual, make your own risk assessment and choose that !
@TorontoIDDoc ‘Get vaxxed to get back to normal’ they said. Anyone wonder why trust is so eroded in public health? Even the ultra conservative Science Table said kids should be back in extracurriculars because of the detrimental impact on kids from not having them
@loukaywoo @bettybetty700 @pandemicskies However, those who are not vaccinated will be required to self-isolate for ten days even if they test negative. So in an effort to ensure students can stay in school as much as possible, it is important students get vaccinated if they are eliglble.
@loukaywoo @bettybetty700 @pandemicskies From TDSB: students who are vaccinated and exposed as a close contact to someone who is covid positive are NOT required to quarantine and are allowed back in school if they test negative for Covid after this exposure.
