@javisaidathing@Brian_ShPk@Alt_Azn Why would the US subsidize (in reality US private corporations) travel for a bunch of foreigners who don't even pay taxes? They're already here for the games, so might as well charge more. If you're poor, then don't go. It's pretty simple really.
@JosephT35574113@Noahpinion Given that we have a debt-based monetary system, if enough borrowers begin defaulting because the loan extended should not have been made → credit collapse → Deflation → ↑ loans go bad b/c repaying debt = harder → intervention = money printing → ↑ inflation /END
@infraa_ Millennials are currently btw 30 - 45 years old. A chart I found online suggests that they should have a net worth btw ~96k-144k (including home equity). Could that be reason for the discrepancy between the data?
@FKnob13563@Tig_Bo Agree with all of that but doesn’t mean you should just be a faggot who sits at home & does nothing. One could get skills with respect to vocations & then get a job in that vocation. Might not be easy. Might not pay all that well at first but at least you’re not a defeatist loser
@LordInosuke741 And as a way to show his resolve and have a reminder of his resolve, he let the fish eat his arm, which is similar to Zoro letting Mihawk cut him. 3/ END
@LordInosuke741 So, now Shanks had a choice: continue looking for Ace or back Luffy. Shanks saw potential in Luffy, but likely was vacillating on whether he should change his Champion. After seeing how Luffy backed his friends, he decided to change Champions. 2/
@Bigtoe88@sleepy_devo Nothing I said necessarily implies that. But at the end of the day, I'm not your mom & don't care how you spend your $. In general, you need to run the numbers for YOUR specific situation in an Excel model. For some, it makes sense to rent & other no so much.
@Bigtoe88@sleepy_devo **20% down
Also you could just a margin account & for less effort take on leverage.
However, (1) Most margin accounts are not going to give you 4x or 5x leverage; (2) People might feel that margin borrowing = dangerous, but borrowing a lot of money for a property = safe → 2008
@Bigtoe88@sleepy_devo Well, yeah. Some gain from the renter paying for the principal on the debt + most (hopefully) appreciation in home prices, which due to 4x-5x leverage magnifies returns. A 2% increase in home prices barely outpaces inflation; however, at 20% (or 5x) = 10% return on investment.
@ElizabethLann1@RichardHanania A "defective" child is determined on a case-by-case basis by the parents. I would say a child with low IQ, physical deformities, diseases, etc. is defective & I would raise such a child if had test saying they not perfect.
@LikesherM@sleepy_devo "Ownership has capital guarantee." No. Objectively wrong.
"Even if things go wrong, the property retains value." Wrong again. It retains functional value - minus normal depreciation.
"but not necessarily worse. Its better for those who dont know economics(like most)." Like you?
@Bigtoe88@sleepy_devo The profits are not really that high. Basically, they take your rent and hand it over to the bank. It's probably cash flowing a couple hundred bucks in "profit" which will need to be saved for maintenance. Return = function of return on downpayment + leverage from bank
