Public Announcement: Apillon Wind-Down

Dear Apillon community, partners, and friends,

After many months of fighting through challenges and exploring every possible path forward, we’ve made the very hard decision to wind down Apillon. It’s not a decision we ever wanted to make,  but one that became unavoidable as continuing to operate sustainably proved impossible.

Over the past years, Apillon set out to make building on Polkadot simpler and more accessible. Our amazing team of passionate, highly motivated people achieved great things - from launching developer tools and SDKs to scaling Apillon to over 150,000 builders worldwide.

However, broader market conditions, the slowdown in new builders entering the ecosystem, and the fragmentation of the Polkadot tech stack made it increasingly difficult for us to maintain and scale the platform.

Mistakes were made along the way.
As a team of developers, we focused too little on the business side of things. As true believers in the Polkadot technology and ecosystem, we built exclusively on Polkadot and were too late to explore other, faster-growing ecosystems - a decision that ultimately limited our ability to adapt and scale.

Apillon will remain fully operational until the end of 2025, with all services continuing to run for existing users. The platform will officially wind down on January 1st, 2026, providing ample time for everyone to migrate their projects and data. The

Apillon codebase and smart contracts will remain open source so others in the community can build upon our work if they wish to.

On behalf of the entire Apillon team, we want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who supported us - our partners, community, all the amazing teams we collaborated with across the Polkadot ecosystem, the Polkadot Treasury, and especially the developers who believed in our mission.

While Apillon’s chapter is coming to a close, the ideas, technology, and spirit behind it remain open for others to continue and evolve.

Thank you for being part of our journey.

[Apillon ⧓ @Apillon]

Thanks so much for the kind words 🙏
Re PixelProof - we’ve delivered everything promised in the OpenGov proposal ✅ The MVP is live and ready to test at https://t.co/VILxqjbppG
We’re proud to have completed what we set out to do, and excited to see how the project can continue to grow from here.

Holding is fine. But building momentum? That’s next level.

Lock your $NCTR, earn 20% APY, and get more than just rewards—gain access, governance, and a bigger role in the Apillon ecosystem.

It’s not passive. It’s powerful. Lock in and level up.

[Apillon ⧓ @Apillon]

Built your dapp, nailed the flow—and then the wallet hits. Extensions, seed phrases, confused users, drop-offs.

Apillon Embedded Wallets fix that.

Substrate + EVM support. Biometric login. Built on @OasisProtocol, audited by @DecurityHQ.

This is what Web3 should feel like.

[Apillon ⧓ @Apillon]

Leave wallet chaos behind—start building with Embedded Wallets and keep your weekends drama-free.

[Apillon ⧓ @Apillon]

Know those “last thing before the weekend” tasks? The ones that spiral into an hours of debugging?

Now imagine that blocker is your Web3 wallet integration. Yeah—weekend ruined - unless you're using Apillon Embedded Wallets.

Now you can actually log off when you say you will.

[Apillon ⧓ @Apillon]

If you believe in what we’re building, now’s the time to show it—and be rewarded for it.
https://t.co/tPKo79VH5r

[Apillon ⧓ @Apillon]

Believe in Web3? Time to earn from it too.

Lock $NCTR for 90 days or more and earn 20% APY—plus ecosystem perks.

It’s not just holding. It’s building with conviction—and getting rewarded for it.

[Apillon ⧓ @Apillon]

Swing by our YouTube channel and watch Apillon in action. It's one thing to read about it—it's another to see the Web3.

Developers learn differently—docs, SDKs, code examples… and yes, videos.

That’s why we’ve brought our latest demos and tutorials to YouTube.

If you’ve been following along with what we’re building—or are just discovering Apillon—this is your chance to see it in action.

[Apillon ⧓ @Apillon]

Because if you’re building in Go, you should be able to go far.

[Apillon ⧓ @Apillon]

As the saying goes, if you don’t go, you don’t have a story.

But if you were a Go developer, storing that story on Apillon wasn’t exactly easy—until now.

Thanks to the community member, leveraging Apillon's Developer Adoption Fund, we’ve shipped a brand new Go Storage SDK.

[Apillon ⧓ @Apillon]

Let’s work together to make this happen!

@DrevZiga @Polkadot @Apillon @umanitek Definitely feels like the kind of thing that could shake up how we store and manage our photos online.

AI moderation + privacy by design on @Polkadot?
Now that’s something Google Photos can’t offer.
This could be big.

Don't take or word for it, check the AI x Web3 vibe and see what's up!

Have you tried Web3 with Claude Desktop and Apillon’s MCP server? If you didn't, you should!

Now officially certified on MCPReview, it unlocks real AI x Web3 workflows—storage, hosting, NFTs—all through a smooth LLM chat interface.

No manual dashboard clicks, no guesswork.

[Apillon ⧓ @Apillon]

Keep your eyes on the prize—we’ll take care of the locks, keys, earnings and everything in between.

[Apillon ⧓ @Apillon]

You lock your house, your car, your bike—why not your $NCTR?

The difference? Locked $NCTR doesn’t just sit there. It grows—steadily, securely—at 20% APY.

Because in Web3, smart security should come with smart rewards.
