“One Way Out”
“I burn my life to make a sunrise that I know I'll never see. And the ego that started this fight will never have a mirror or an audience or the light of gratitude. So what do I sacrifice? Everything!”
Four episodes ago I said to myself with full confidence “This is the greatest Star Wars i’ve ever experienced” in regards to “THE EYE” and I honestly wasn’t sure if it could even be topped. So while I’ll treasure that episode forever, E10 is in a league of it’s own. Take all the praise i’ve given Andor and times it by 100 because that’s what “One Way Out” is. At this point I know i’ll eat my words but as of now, I seriously believe this is the greatest Star Wars i’ve ever graced my eyes upon.
From the beginning of this Narkina arc I knew there was something special on the rise, it just had that feeling in the air, you could see the building blocks of the story and seeing it all come to fruition is even sweeter than expected and shatteringly spectacular. Kino as a character as things stand is my favourite of this series. Three episodes is all it took to write an arc as tragic as this, with an empty shell of a man broken down by the empire and built back up by Cassian in their final moments. A monologue engraved into my brain, a final line i absolutely hate and simultaneously love. It’s a full circle story that hit every single note. The thrill you feel as the prisoners take over the prison feels impossible to match and that’s the best sign you did something right.
Then there’s Luthen. The monologue. The sacrifice. The sequence of a fucking lifetime. Not even gonna try putting into words how phenomenal that moment is because it speaks entirely for itself. I’ll just say Stellan Skarsgård is an amazing act and if there’s one specific thing i leave Andor thinking about, it might be THAT. Even days later it’s still a constant on my mind.
I want to say this is as good as things will ever get, as good as Star Wars will ever get, but i’ve got 14 episodes left and I feel like that statement will be far from the truth. It’s like i’ve barely even scratched the surface and I can’t stress how excited that makes me.

Guardians of the Galaxy is only $9, just bought it on PC. highly recommend. VERY well written story and some fun team-based mechanics in a single player game.
