@LeeMokobe teaches the importance of acknowledging and considering other perspectives when making our argument by explaining how kids at school called him "lesbian," while he felt he "was more boy than girl, more Ken than Barbie."
This review session talked about considering your purpose and audience in planning your line of reasoning and also considering the shades of gray.

While I believe the NBA/NFL shouldn't make college a requirement since athletes should be able to make their own decisions, I recognize that others believe when coming out of high school most athletes lack the maturity and physical tools to play in the pros which college can fix.
In "Do We Need Football in America This Badly?" Streeter argues that as the pandemic worsens, the season should be put on hold. I chose this article because it connects both my passion for certain sports in this case football, and an important issue, the pandemic. #marksaplang
Hi @Trevornoah! My name is Derek, I'm a junior in NYC and currently taking an APLANG course. Right now we are reading your book #bornacrime. I've enjoyed your reminiscent and reflective tone throughout the different stories and lessons you share. I can't wait to read more!
@aplangkarla I like the way you used diction in your response, it shows that you were able to understand the last line of the passage and make references to it while explaining.
@kaylaaradman Well said! Yes I agree that the tone affects the author's credibility, the fact that he speaks of them fondly and remembers them so well makes us think he experienced all the adventures and scars mentioned.
@AlinaEspindola5 I agree that as we get older we look back on our past mistakes and learn from them, growing as a person can be both physical and mental.
@hamza_APLang69 I agree with how a person scar may show how someone has grown. Also, I like how your reference a point in your life to further your response.
Q3-3D: I think a scar represents a certain story a person has been through whether it has been good or bad and how it has impacted or changed the person for the better. #collabapchat
Q2-2D: I think that accidents and mistakes shape a person more than success because making mistakes help grow you as a person and want to strive for more while success just makes you content where you are. #collabapchat

In "An Open Letter to Justin Turner and M.L.B." by Kurt Streeter, Streeter argues how Rob Manfred, baseball's commissioner, canβt just blame one player. I chose this article because I enjoy and play baseball and COVID is still a threat without a vaccine.
