#marksaplang@MizMarks From this video, I learned that in a rhetorical analysis essay, I am supposed to find the overall rhetorical choices the author makes instead of the specific device the author may make.
@LeeMokobe@MizMarks#marksaplang Lee Mokobe uses sympathy to control their audience. Mokobe states "when I turned 12, the boy phase wasn't deemed cute anymore." Mokobe had a rough childhood and has the audience feel sympathy so they can be on their side.
Gun violence is an extreme issue in this country. It is too simple for people to obtain a gun which just raises gun violence. People think that they need guns in order to protect themselves. However, you won't have to protect yourself if no one has a gun. #marksaplang@MizMarks

@Trevornoah Hi Trevor Noah, I am reading your book, "Born a Crime," in my AP Lang class in NYC. It is one of the best books I have ever read! I especially like how you elicit that being a product of your environment can often be beneficial. Thanks for the laughs!
#collabapchat A3D. A scar symbolizes an event or a mistake in a person's life. A mistake does not mean something bad, but rather something that the person learned from.
#collabapchat A2D. I do think accidents and mistakes shape a person more than success. People can learn from mistakes and accidents. If they learn from it, then they can be led to success. If they just have success, then they have not learned anything.
#collabapchat A1B. The author tries to convey the message of how people with scars have stories to tell. Each scar represents a story and because of that, you know they have lived their life. Those without scars have to have more adventures.
