Yesterday, our 4th grade students were able to meet players/coaches from the Bryant university men’s basketball team. They came in and participated in some team building activities and even a hot shot basketball challenge! Such a great experience, thank you so much @BryantHoops!
5th graders had an awesome time this morning spending some time with the @NEFreeJacks rugby team! We learned how to toss the rugby ball, kick it three ways, and even had a relay race. Thank you to the Freejacks for helping make this happen!
The Broadcast News class has produced the 2nd episode of @STVNews17 anchored by senior Jillian Corriveau. It covers a wide range of topics including the baseball team's state championship ring ceremony, a look at the new playground @MartinElem_SPS, & more!

It’s hard to believe that today marks my 10th year in education: six incredibly rewarding years teaching and now heading into my fourth year as an Assistant Principal! What an indescribable feeling welcoming back all of our amazing students today that we missed so much! 🍎✏️
Another year begins at MES tomorrow, and our staff has created a beautiful learning environment for our students! We can’t wait to see you all tomorrow!
We are aiming to hold our annual Popsicle Party event on Thursday, Aug. 24th 4:30-6pm. If all goes as planned with our new playground being completed, we will also have our big ribbon cutting at 4:30 to kickoff the event! All of our MES families are welcome!
What a gorgeous day to engage in a ‘Book Tasting’ to sample a variety of text styles and genres and prepare for summer reading! Thank you to our incredible librarian, Miranda Laughlin, for engaging all of our students in this during classes! @MartinElem_SPS
It was a gorgeous, sunny morning for our annual Walk to School day at MES! Mac set the pace, and he was a trooper as he lead all of us through our local neighborhoods to school.
Our Unified Club showed off their teamwork and athletic skills as they participated in their track and field event yesterday afternoon! We couldn’t be prouder of this group of young leaders for always modeling what it means to be accepting, inclusive, and kind.
Girls On the Run group from Martin School collected treats and supplies for The Seekonk Animal Shelter. They also wanted to give our buddy Mac a basket for all he does for the kids at the school. So sweet!
What an afternoon watching these girls present items they collected to the Seekonk Animal Shelter for their GOTR service project! We also recognized Mac, our SRO’s therapy dog with goodies, for all the joy he brings our students! These girls are 5K ready! @GOTRRI @MartinElem_SPS
So nice to be able to treat our incredible staff to a Dip Bar today for Teacher Appreciation Week: a small token of our appreciation for all that you do each and everyday!! @MartinElem_SPS
