Marco Palestra has many of the qualities that Manchester City typically look for in a full back.

He is comfortable on the ball, technically assured, and versatile enough to fulfil multiple roles within a system. Whether operating as a wing back, or moving into central areas, he looks capable of adapting to the positional demands expected at the highest level. That flexibility is something that could particularly appeal to Enzo Maresca, whose teams place a strong emphasis on intelligent movement and positional play.

Physically, Palestra seems well equipped to cope with the demands of English football. He also has the technical qualities that are needed to thrive in possession based football.

Defensively, he competes well in duels, reads situations intelligently, and shows encouraging defensive instincts. There are naturally areas of his game that can still be refined, but that is to be expected from a player who is only 21 years old and still developing.

Looking at the profile as a whole, Palestra fits the mould of many successful Manchester City signings in recent years... young, talented, tactically adaptable, and possessing considerable room for growth.

The question is whether City themselves view him as a player worth investing in as I haven't seen any reliable Manchester City sources actually talk about him.
