Today I had the privilege of training principals and assistant principals on aligning instructional leadership through T-TESS and the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA).

Together, we reflected on our leadership, embraced ownership of the work ahead, and developed implementation plans aligned to each leader’s vision for the coming school year.

Strong schools don’t happen by chance. They are built by leaders who are willing to reflect, grow, and intentionally lead with purpose.

I am excited to see how these leaders translate today’s learning into action, strengthen instructional practices, and create lasting impact for the students, teachers, and communities they serve.

The work starts now, and I can’t wait to see what this year brings.

People remember how a space made them feel.

A classroom, workplace, team, or community becomes stronger when people know they do not have to earn the right to belong. Sometimes that starts with something simple: noticing who has been left out, listening without rushing, recognizing someone’s effort, or checking in when they seem quieter than usual.

We may not be able to solve everything another person is carrying, but we can help them feel less alone while they carry it.

Be intentional about the way people feel after spending time with you.
