Just saw a TikTok where the lady was saying, When I was 19 years old, I was married. One day my husband put his hands on me. A week later I told him I wanted a separation. He seemed ok with it.
I took a nap.

I woke up to being stabbed literally in the back. In total I was stabbed and sliced 12 times.
I managed to convince him to call help for me while I sat bleeding to death.
It took 30 hours of surgery and 4 blood transfusions to save my life. I walked away with 100k in medical bills. He did 12 years in prison.
He was on bond for two years while awaiting sentencing for stabbing me. While he was on bond, he raped a minor.
He took a plea bargain for both stabbing me and the rape. 15 years for stabbing, 10 for rape. To be served concurrently.
He served 85% as is the law in South Carolina.

His name is Michael Francis Vanderlick and he is on the North Carolina Sex Offender registry .
