DEADLINE JUNE 19TH
my brain likes to constantly remind me that the eighth doctor has a mile of margate in his tardis, like my life depends on telling someone this every hour
is there a market at all for old used issues of doctor who adventures (2005-2009 era)? been trying to flog some of my older merch to free up space, would like to know before they wind up in the recycle bin.
whether it's 6 or 8 episodes in whatever series comes next, I would love for them to do more serialised stories like Flux and CoE. something like one block of 6, or two interconnected sets of 4 episodes would be great

#DoctorWho creators, I NEED YOU!!! 💙
I'm putting together a list of fellow artists, makers, stores, podcasts, conventions and fan projects to include with every Etsy order that goes out from my shop.
If that's you (or you know someone who deserves a shout-out), drop your @👇
@AndrewOnSeeAIR Flux did a fairly decent job at blending the main story arc with the usual monster of the week. it'd be nice to see more of that going on, instead of a breadcrumb trail leading to a two-part finale!
in fact, i enjoyed the 2021-22 format. have a serialised story one year, then three specials the following (Christmas/NY, Spring, Autumn). but then alternate it. another series year, then another specials year, etc. just feel like it could be fun!
i didn't write a short trip entry this year, but instead found myself revisiting my submission from last year. I'm no author, but I was really proud of my work (even if it didn't win!), so I've decided tonight to write it in full - just for me :)
@philnewmandsign exactly this! that probably impacted the RTD2 era a bit too, with people having expectations of it going to be the same level of quality as his first stint, just because that's what we grew up on
i still think they should have opened this at the end of the Chibnall era, and have RTD2 be a new fresh outlook with the Timeless Child (which could have worked given the soft reboot for Disney).
@philnewmandsign I'm glad people have been. It's a little ironic how a show all about change is usually met with discourse about the show actually changing creative direction. But I think sometimes it just needs some time for the dust cloud to settle for people to enjoy it for themselves :)
