Brandon Woodruff on Milwaukee's World Series fever: "You definitely catch more people taking pictures of you in the wild. That can be kind of awkward sometimes when you catch them. But man, the fans are ready."
Today is for the generation who remembers game 7 of the 1982 World Series. Longing for a chance to do it again, but this time, differently
Today is for the kids of the 90s and 2000s. Who watched some of the worst teams ever. But it didn’t matter. Cause they were born into this,
Brandon Woodruff just can’t catch a break with injuries. After missing all of 2024 with a torn shoulder capsule, he fought his way back, only to walk off the mound on July 4th 2026, with another shoulder injury. At the time, everyone thought his season was over and he would need another major surgery. Then came a total shock when doctors checked him again in late August and realized he actually did not need surgery. Woodruff spent the next two months secretly rehabbing, throwing bullpen sessions, and getting his arm strength back while the team made their playoff run. Now, he is somehow on the World Series roster. It is completely wild. Pitchers do not just sit out for almost four months with a serious shoulder injury, without pitching in a single real game since July 4th, and jump straight into the World Series, yet against all odds, he is back.
The National Weather Service generally does a great job at forecasting, but they are not demigods. Sometimes they make mistakes and they should be held accountable.
Calling out those errors does not by default make someone opposed to them as an entity. It's actually the opposite: it ensures a standard of excellence to keep people safe.
I am sure a few people have more nefarious intentions, but the majority of us view it like a family member or close friend: we love you, we support you, but sometimes you need to have tough conversations.
I think it's important to wait until the dust settles before passing judgement. We don't truly know what was going on in the hot seat. But I do hope that if errors were made, it can be a learning experience that better prepares them for the next event. That's how we grow, not shying away from criticism.

Let’s go win a World Series
I was born in 1998, I attended my first Brewers game in 2000. My family owned season tickets for 20+ years and I’ve been to Miller Park more times than I can count
I’ve watched some bad teams over my lifetime, I’ve experienced so much heartbreak from this team. I never thought we’d get here
But now we’re in the World Series and I’m still in disbelief. I have to pinch myself
